Retiring Gracefully, Reflections on the Announced Retirement of John Stott

From Reformation21, comes this post by Dr. Derek Thomas from Reformed Theological Seminary and First Presbyterian Church, both in Jackson, MS, on the announced retiremement of Dr. John Stott, long time pastor of All Souls Church in London and world-renowned British preacher and writer. John Stott was ordained into the ministry of the Church of England in 1945 and has served the same church, All Souls, ever since.

He has written over 40 books. His best known, Basic Christianity, has been translated into more than 50 languages. Other titles include The Cross of Christ, The Contemporary Christian, Evangelical Truth and New Issues Facing Christians Today, and eight New Testament expositions (Acts, Romans etc.) in the ‘Bible Speaks Today’ series published by IVP.
