Who was Saint Patrick, really?

Well once again we have seen a perverted American culture take the occasion to use something for its own hedonistic purposes. Case in point the holiday labeled St. Patrick’s Day. First of all, the spectacle of parades, festivals and drunkensness bears no resemblance to the man Patrick, who was not Irish, but Welch. It is also hard to find commonality among all of the fleshly displays and the man who refered to himself as “Patrick, a sinner”.  I liked the comment by Irish author Frank McCourt, who said that if Patrick were alive today, and witnessed all the celebration made in his name he would shouted STOP! I invite you read this article from the Christian Post, with quotes by Dr. D. James Kennedy. Then get ready, “Easter” is next.
