The Tennessean newspaper in Nashville, reporting on the Jimmy Carter led Baptist Convocation in Atlanta, quotes Robert Parham, executive director of the Nashville-based Baptist Center for Ethics, called Gore a “Baptist prophet.” In introducing Gore, Parham said, “prophets are unacceptable because their truth is inconvenient.”
