Dr. Tom Ascol on The Mike Corley Program
Dr. Thomas Ascol, executive director of Founders Ministries and Pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Cape Coral, Florida was a special guest on MCP today, addressing his recent comments that he will introduce a resolution at the next annual meeting of the Southern Baptist Convention, requiring that church members actually be born-again.
Dr. Ascol addressed questions like “Shouldn’t it be a given fact that church members should be born-again believers?”, “How does the Word of God define a church-member?”, “Is the SBC overly concerned with membership numbers?”, and a lot more.
It was indeed an honor to have Dr. Ascol back on the program. You can listen to the entire interview at the link below. We would love to hear your comments.

I have much empathy for Dr. Ascol. If men like Dr. T.D. Jakes - who don’t believe in God - can be brought in to SBC churches to teach them how to “lead,” I don’t think the SBC will worry too much about whether those they lead are born again.
Can we really be living in a time that is so ridiculous that in the SBC church (”those called”
members and those who pastor-teachers (gifts from Christ) who lead them don’t have to be born again?
